Saiva lives with Anja, her adopted daughter in a remote land far away from civilization. Saiva is the sole survivor of an indigenous tribe of reindeer herders slaughtered by a troop of marauding soldiers. One day a figure appears on the horizon, a young man. He collapses. Despite all of her fears and doubts Saiva takes him in and they nurse him back from the brink of death.
